Event log’s list of events

Log type: operation

Event logs recorded when an operation is performed using the control panel or API key.

Note

*Only successful operation events are recorded. Failed events will not be recorded.

Log type: Start task/complete task /abort task

Events generated by operations on the cloud system, such as auto backup, are categorized as tasks.
An event log will be recorded when the following tasks are started/completed/aborted.

Copying a disk/archive Only copies originating from a disk and archive in the same zone as a source will be recorded.
This includes the copies processed through auto backup.
Skip auto backup Recorded when scheduled auto backup operation has been skipped.

Log type: Startup/start of use, shutdown/end of use

The time a contract on SAKURA Cloud is created/deleted by a customer will be recorded together with the resource ID.
For virtual servers, the time of creation/deletion as well as the time a relevant virtual server is started/stopped by a customer will be recorded in the state transition log. The time the automatic recovery program is launched in response to an error as well as recovery completion time can be confirmed through the recorded startup and shutdown times.

Start of use, end of use The time a contract is created/deleted on SAKURA Cloud will be recorded.
Unlike the operation log, the time an operation is completed on the cloud infrastructure will be recorded here.
*For appliances, the time a relevant appliance is enabled for use will be recorded.
Startup, shutdown The time a customer’s virtual server starts/stops on the cloud infrastructure will be recorded.
The server billing amount is calculated based on this time.

*The start/stop time of object storage and the web accelerator will not be recorded.

Log type: notification

Notifications are recorded via simple monitoring.

Slack notification, email notification The time of simple monitoring notification will be recorded.

Events unsupported by event logs

The following is a list of events that are not displayed in event logs.

  • Update common service settings (GSLB/DNS/simple monitoring/auto backup)
  • Create an archive from a VPS disk
  • Bridge operation
    • Connect/disconnect cloud switch to/from bridge
    • Connect/disconnect dedicated server switch to/from bridge
    • Connect/disconnect VPS switch to/from bridge
  • Operation of two-factor authentication
    • Set/cancel
    • Recovery code generation
    • Register/delete trusted device
    • Passing two-factor authentication
